This is what I had time to do for this years gingerbread house. I just wanted to share it with all of you lovely people who have been so supporting since I started CakeJournal.

I hope that you all will have a wonderful Christmas and get lots of cake stuff under the tree :-)

Merry Christmas

Would love to know how you made the trees! They look great!

I have used ice cream cones on the inside and piped with royal icing + a leaf tip.

Hi Louise, I know this is an old thread, but I just saw it and have a quick question for you about your Gingerbread house.
I saw one of your houses from prior years and you were able to put lights in it…can I ask how you did that? what kind of lights? are they battery operated? where did you find them?
Sorry for all the questions. I’ve never done a gingerbread house and I’m willing to try this year.
The lighted house you made is darling, I love it.

Ok, thank you for being so kind!
    Rosie
