Littlest Pet Shop Lizard birthday cake

I made this Littlest Pet Shop lizard cake for my nieces Birthday party. The colorflow/runout is made the same way like the one I did for my daughters Birthday. Also this time have I made some small adjustments to the motif to make it more “simple” leaving some details out and I used small pieces of white rolled fondant to make the white dots in the eye instead of painting them. She was very happy with the cake :-)  Remember that you can see photos on how I made the LPS horse in the gallery under miscellaneous cake Projects

The new webhost moving part is finished and I hope that there are no errors on the site now. Should you however see something not working then please do let me know by sending me an email. Tomorrow I will try to take some photos of how I make the Italian Meringue Butter Cream for you to see and then my own Birthday is coming up on Monday so I have to think of a little sweet treat to celebrate my day with.

Happy Caking

    Holy cats!

You are uber-talented! That is the cutest darned cake I’ve seen in a long time! I found the picture by searching for LPS birthday cakes. My daugter wants one for her birthday. Care to make one and deliver it to MN? LOL!

    Truly beautiful!

Angelina: Velkommen til min blog ;o)

Becky, snookydoodle & Tracy: Thank you, so sweet of you.

Andrea: I just use a super thin paint brush and petal powder/alcohol and tried to paint with a steady hand ;o)

I made the different than the horse (you learn every time) This time i made the middle and when it was dry i filled out with runny white. Then when the white was dry I painted again with a super thin brush the blue on the white.

You can see a better close up if you go to the gallery and look under “Kids cakes”

Kate from Oz: I brush on some lustre sparkle dust after the icing was dry. Thank you for your sweet words.

suzy: Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Beautiful as usual:) How did you make the top lizard frill sparkly? Did you add pearl lustre dust to wet Royal Icing or did you add it after it was dry?
Thnaks for the best website ever!
