Shaaron: I think the flowers was made out of cold porcelain. But you can use gum paste as well. Gum paste is more flexible and it can be rolled extremly thinly when it comes to makeing petals ect.
Sharlene: It was so incredible. But Gunilla is also a champ when it comes to piping:-)

I am in awe of the ‘wedding cake’ by judges. The intricate work is outstanding and must have been very labour intensive.

Louise I still love your cake the best. There are a lot of details on some cakes and a lot of work put into them but I think your cake really stands out as being both elegant and beautiful. Thank you for posting all the photo’s from the show. Wish I could have been there but I live in Mexico so that would be a really long and expensive trip. I do have a question for you. Are all those flower enteries made out of gum paste? I have never worked with gum paste or even fondant but really want to try. Can you make flowers out of fondant or is gum paste the most often choice?
