The AF icing is a bit more like marshmallow fluff with a thick consistency. The WM is more airy and light. I like them both but the WM is super on chocolate cupcakes

(First comment ever) The second I saw these I had to make them even though it was past midnight!! I am not a chocolate cupcake fan and I’ve never had luck with meringue frosting BUT this was, by far, the most incredible tasting cupcake and frosting I have ever baked! The cupcake baked perfectly and the frosting whipped up nicely. I got rave reviews from the few people that tried them! Thank you for your blog and your recipes and thank you for being an inspiration to get in the kitchen and make something yummy!

I made this cupcakes on Monday. I think they’re yummy, but… not the best A bitter taste of muffins is composing with sweet frosting, but i think muffins are too bitter. But they’re look great and delicious

dina: I have added it in the post what tip I have used, but I’ll write it here to. Its an 11mm star tip. I think that you can find one similar from Ateco or Wilton.

Tracy: I have used caster sugar, not powdered or icing.

Elizabeth & Tami: I have made a note about putting together a post about my photos. But it will not be before we are closer to spring and theres more light outside.

Elny: I think that you can keep them for 1 day, not more.

Hi Louise,
I have been a big fan of your website for about two years now. I actually found it whilst searching for giant cupcakes with Tinkerbell on them, for my 21st birthday. This year I am hoping to move to a new house and hopefully get my own kitchen! It will be nice to experiment with your recipies without my mother looking over my shoulder all the time. I really really admire your work and as a totally ameteur baker (I used to make pretty good Victoria Sandwich cakes, now I’m all cupcakes!) can I say your tutorials and ideas are totally inspired. And they’re really easy too! Who’d have ever thought that for christmas this year I’d be asking for a leaf -veiner and a proper mixing bowl!?! But all I can say is THANK YOU a million times. Beacause of your site, I have started my own cake blog thing that will just be me and a bunch of cakes that I made (or destroyed!). Gorgeous cupcakes I love your site and you give me lots of inspiration!
I am from the UK I have looked at your meringue frosting recipe is the powdered sugar, icing sugar.
Also I tend to use albumen should I use 6 egg whites instead hope you don’t mind me asking as I haven’t done this kind of icing before.
