nizha: I would advise you to visit CakeCentral.com as they have a whole forum only with cupcakes. Im sure that your question have been asked before and you can find loads of recipes aswell. I have never tried to bake such a large number of cupcakes so I cant really tell you.

i’ve been a fan to your cake journal lately. just love all the wonderful tips and yummy pictures that i’ve seen. i’ve plan to bake 300 cup cakes for my friend’s cousin before this coming christmas. glad if you can give me an exact mount of ingredient and how long would it take to bake such numbers of cup cakes??? this is my first try..

Suzanne: I would go for the fondant disc. Poured fondant can be tricky and I dont think that you would enjoy any trouble with 200 cupcakes.

I would use a thin layer of bc underneath the fondant discs. Depending on how thin/thick you roll it I would say about 2-3 pounds? but im not 100% sure. I always buy to much in the end.

I must mae 200 cupcakes and have them ready for a wedding, frosting them all the day before. Which would be quickest and get the best result, using rolled fondant discs or dipping into poured fondant? Either look would be just fine. And how much should I buy of either, to ensure I have enough? I am not a much of an artist…

Fabbys: Do you think of books with figure modelling?? I would recomend you to look at Loraine McKays web site. She sells online tutorials that are very easy to understand but she also have loads of small podcast where she show small things for free. https://extra-icing.blogspot.com/
