Yes it will be fine to refrigerate for a day and a half. And it shouldn’t change after it’s filled.

If I refridgerate it after filling for a day and a half would that be ok? Was going to fill and dirty ice then finish it the next day.
Also how much would it thicken once it’s in between the cake layers?

This should be enough to fill 6″ and 8″ cakes! If you feel like it may not be, mix in a little extra vanilla buttercream to stretch it!
