Fall Cupcakes

Do you want to “wow” your friends, family and coworkers this fall with a yummy treat? You can do that by learning how to easily ice these fall cupcakes using 3 icing colors at once to create a tie-dye effect and your favorite fall sprinkles.

Items needed:

  • 3 colors you would like to use for your icing
  • 1 pastry bag
  • 1 large cupcake tip ( I use either a #2D or #1D tip)
  • Your favorite white icing
  • Sprinkles
  • Spatula
  • Toothpicks

Step 1: Gather all your goodies and supplies needed.

Step 2:  Using your toothpick, coat heavily with one of the colors you have chosen.

Step 3: Paint on side of the inside of the pastry bag with the toothpick covered in coloring. Reach in and start as close to the tip as possible.

Step 4: Rotate your bag a 1/3 of the way and repeat step three with the next color.

Step 5:  Rotate your bag once more a 1/3 of the way and repeat step three on more time with your next color. This will give you 3 colors in your bag.

Step 6: Now using a spatula, add your favorite icing into the bag. Shaking the icing down the bag.

Step 7: Now decorate your cupcakes! You may need to pipe a little out first in a bowl before the colors start. Once, they start ice your cupcake in your favorite pattern. I work from the outside top edge to the middle of the cupcake forming a nice top! Now you can see all 3 colors in your icing and it’s is uniquely swirled on each cupcake.

Step 8: Now just add some sprinkles and enjoy what you created!!!

Happy Caking!
