Resources for Baking Bloggers

We thought that it would be helpful to create a resource page that baking bloggers can use to see some of the products and services that CakeJournal.com uses to run our website.  This list will continue to grow as we test and try out new resources that work for us.

Disclaimer: Please note that some of the links below are affiliate links and I will earn a commission if you purchase through those links. I use all of the products listed below and recommend them because they are companies that I have found helpful and trustworthy. Please let me know if you have any questions about anything listed below!

GETTING STARTED WITH YOUR BAKING BLOG

Hostgator Banner

Hostgator – When we first started this blog in 2007, we wanted to partner with a hosting company that offered great uptime, low monthly cost, and unlimited bandwidth. Bluehost was our clear favorite as it offers a great one-click option to quickly get WordPress installed in just minutes. This is our recommended hosting company if you are just getting started and don’t want to invest a large amount of money on hosting.

Bluehost – This is another hosting company that we highly recommend for new bloggers just starting off that want to save money. They offer some of the same features of Hostgator, but their level of customer service is a little bit better. We currently use Bluehost for a few of our smaller websites that don’t receive that much traffic yet. Either one, you really can’t go wrong.

GROWING YOUR BLOG
Food Blogger Pro
Food Blogger Pro – a community and a resource for food bloggers from all over the world. We will never stop learning and it is our goal that what we learn, both the big ideas and the practical tips, can also benefit you. There’s enough room for everyone in the food blog world, so let’s do this thing together. There are two primary parts of site, the video training and the community forum. The videos provide easy-to-understands tips for getting started with your food blog and step-by-step instructions for how to do things like install advertising code, create a branded email address, or use the manual settings on your DSLR camera.

Tasty Food Photography eBook
Tasty Food Photography – is an eBook for food bloggers and food photography enthusiats. Photography is an incredible tool that can have a profound impact on the life of your blog or website. I’ve learned a lot of things – both big and small – in the last few years, and this book is my way of sharing all that with you.
