9 Creative Cake Ideas for Game Night with Friends

by Kristen Leave a Comment

What will make a planned game night with friends more memorable than a themed cake that will wow your guests? I scoured the Internet for the best ideas for creative cakes that are perfect for a game night with friends and family to play your favorite board games and card games while enjoying a delicious slice of cake!

Game nights are a great excuse to get your friends and family together. Make sure you send invites a couple of weeks in advance so you will have time to bake and buy everyone’s favorite snacks for game night. I also make sure to have some drink options that pair well with the cake like Moscato, Baileys Irish Cream, sparkling water, and fruit juice.

Monopoly Themed Cake

If you are planning to play the classic Monopoly game that will likely bring hours of strategic fun, competitive banter, and a few unlucky trips to jail, then a Monopoly-themed cake can be the talk of the party.

This incredible replica of the Monopoly board was created by The Sweet Art of Cake (@sweetartofcake). Another popular cake idea is to have the mascot, Milburn Pennybags, popping out of the top of the cake.

Poker Cake

If your friends or family love to gather to take each other’s money with a lively game of poker, then a poker themed cake can create a fun memory.

There are lots of clever variations of a poker cake, but I love the design of this concept by Arte Hecho Pastel (@artehechopastel). Whoever wins the most money gets the first slice!

Scrabble Cake

If you have some Scrabble fans in your group, a Scrabble cake will definitely impress your guests.

The great thing about this cake concept is that you can spell out personalized messages on the cake using the letter pieces.

This themed cake by Eliza Jane Cakes (@elizajanecakes) features edible renditions of the game’s infamous black and white cards, complete with outrageous phrases and combinations that have become synonymous with the game’s twisted charm.
