Butterscotch Recipes: sweet, chewy, and delicious desserts

September 29, 2013 by Louise 3 Comments

It’s finally September, so in my world, that means the start of all things FALL, aka the most wonderful time of year! I live for this season and all of the wonderful things associated with it… football, boots and sweaters, warm apple cider, pumpkin everything, colorful leaves, and butterscotch goodness.

With a chill in the air (hopefully soon), these delicious butterscotch recipes will have you anticipating all of the good things ahead!

Butterscotch Desserts

Butterscotch Recipes

1: This Butterscotch Cake looks so GOOD! It’s oozing flavor and butterscotch deliciousness. With multiple layers and a delectable icing, it’s bound to be amazing.

2: By now, you know I love anything sweet and salty. These Pretzel Butterscotch Chocolate Chip Cookies combine everything I love, and offer crunchy and chewiness at the same time. YUM!

3: I’ve been dying to make something with browned butter, and I think these Browned Butter Butterscotch Bars will be my first attempt! They look incredibly moist and chock full of flavor.

4: Scotcharoos are one of my favorite desserts of all time. I remember my mom making them for my when I was little, and I always got to lick the spoon. This recipe for Scotcharoos looks as good as what I grew up with!

5: This recipe for Pumpkin Butterscotch Bread Pudding combines two things I love and that remind me of fall – pumpkin AND butterscotch. Topped with ice cream, you’ve got a perfect fall dessert!

6: I just love the presentation of these jars of Bourbon Butterscotch Pudding. The jars are adorable, and the layers look delicious. Any excuse to combine bourbon with dessert and I’m all in!

7: Just looking at these Double Chocolate Butterscotch Bars makes my mouth water. I think these are finding their way on my “weekend baking list.”

8: I love this unique take on a classic butterscotch pudding cake. This recipe for Spiced Pear Butterscotch Pudding Cake looks so yummy, and perfect for a fall dinner party. Elegant and rustic all at the same time.

9: Butterscotch Oatmeal Cookies are an absolute fall staple. I love how this recipe makes really soft and chewy cookies. All of the fall spices really make this the perfect treat to welcome this wonderful season.
