Cheery cherry dessert recipes

October 17, 2013 by Louise Leave a Comment

With the official start of fall just days away, I am in full-on pumpkin and apple baking mode. So many delicious cakes, muffins, and cookies have been popping out of my oven making my home smell incredibly delicious!

While fall is my favorite season, it’s not too late to savor the very end of summer with a few amazing cherry recipes. I froze a bag of pitted and sweetened-up cherries earlier this summer, and just remembered I need to use them up! I hope these recipes will inspire you to savor and cherish all of the wonderful memories you created over the summer.

Cheery Cherry Desserts

1: These Cherry Chocolate Oatmeal Bars are so chock full of goodness that I can’t even believe it! So many delicious flavors and textures all combined into one heavenly bar. YUM!

2: This recipe for good ‘ole classic Cherry Pie is one of the best I’ve ever seen! And, if it can turn out like the pictures, it’s a winner in my book 🙂

3: Dark chocolate by itself is unbelievably good, but when combined with cherries and nuts in this Dark Chocolate Cherry Brownie recipe, it’s even better.

4: Apricot and cherry always seem to be paired together. For good reason, as evidenced by this recipe for Cherry-Apricot Cobbler!

5: I love this recipe for Cherry Donuts– they are so simple to make, and aren’t fried! Proof that donuts don’t have to be fried to be delicious!

6: A healthy take on a cherry dessert, this recipe for Cherry Banana Bread looks incredible! Perfect for a mid-morning or after school snack. Add some peanut butter and you’ve got a real treat!

7: Muffins are wonderful. They’re single serve and typically no-mess. These Cherry Muffins might not be “no mess,” but for good reason- the cherry just oozes goodness out of these muffins! I can already smell them baking!

8: This recipe for Blackberry Cherry Turnovers is simply delectable. I love that this recipe is created for y’all living in higher altitudes, and that it combines so many incredible flavors into one bite!

9: Cherries + pizza = one of my favorite recipes to date! This Cherry Pizza looks incredibly delicious and I love the unique take on an old classic {cherry pie}. I can’t wait to make this!
