Comfort Food Dessert Ideas

by Louise 1 Comment

As I write this, it’s pouring down rain outside my window, candles are lit, and I’m cozy on the couch. Some days just call for a comforting dessert, and today is definitely a perfect day for one!

I’ve put together 8 of my favorite comfort dessert recipes that I hope warm your heart {and tummy!}.

Comfort Dessert Recipes

Comfort Desserts

1: Brownies are one of my favorite desserts. I love the ooey gooey chocolatey goodness that just melts in your mouth. Combined with cookie dough like in this recipe for Cookie Dough Brownies, they’re even better!

2: These Gingersnap Cookies are so full of flavor, and are soft and chewy all at the same time. This recipe brings back fond memories of holiday baking and time with family.

3: Homemade Funfetti Cake. I don’t think I need to say more!

4: This recipe for Cheesecake Bars looks so delicious and easy, too! I love cheesecake, but don’t like how time consuming it is. These are a great choice when you’re craving cheesecake but don’t need a whole cake!

Comfort food Desserts

5: Oh yum! This recipe for Carrot Cake is moist, full of flavor, and decadent. I can’t wait to make this- it looks like such a delicious fall dessert!

6: I just want to dive right into this Tiramisu! The layers of texture make this a comforting treat for a warm fall evening.

7: Lemon bars are some of my favorite desserts, but they’re so hard to perfect. Try this recipe for Lemon Bars – a shortbread-like base with a tart lemon topping that makes these the best bars I’ve ever had.

8: This recipe for Monster Cookie Bars is full of so many ingredients, truly making these “monster”-like. The recipe has several steps, but the time and effort put into this dessert is so worth it!

Happy Baking!
