Bundt Cake Recipes and Serving Tips

May 16, 2022 by Louise 1 Comment

Bundt cake recipes are very popular in many parts of the world. With that said, however, there are also many people who have no clue what bundt cake is.

If you fall into that latter group, then you should know that a bundt cake is simply a cake that is baked in a Bundt pan. Thus, all this term really means is that the cake takes the correct, typically circular shape of a bundt cake.

Given this information, as long as you have a quality bundt cake pan and can follow good bundt cake recipes, you have nothing to worry about when it comes to creating your cake. In fact, we have some super easy recipes that you can follow right here.

Easy Bundt Cake Recipe

The easiest part of making a bundt cake is making the cake itself. Frosting and other extras can be tricky, but the cake itself is easy. And, honestly, if you can improvise the rest, you should have no problem making the bundt cake and still making it look classy.

All bundt cake recipes start with a list of ingredients, so, if you are looking to make a simple but tasty recipe, start with these basics:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 stick butter

Once you have your ingredients gathered together and ready to go, you are ready to get baking using this simple bundt cake recipe option.

Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees. From there, add the butter and sugar into a bowl and mix until thoroughly blended. The mixture should reach a creamy consistency before you stop blending.

At this point, you will want to add your vanilla extract, salt, and water. Blend until smooth and then pour into your cake pan. Once in the cake pan, bake the mixture for approximately thirty minutes.

Toppings, Flavorings, and Serving Tips

Once it comes out, you have all kinds of different options for toppings and flavorings. The choice is yours, so have fun and try different possibilities to see what you like best.

Try a Canned Frosting for Easy Deliciousness

If you follow the simple bundt cake recipes option above, your cake should come out of the oven looking and smelling delicious.

With that said, though, many people find bundt cake to be a bit plain and boring, which is why they often look to toppings options to do the “flavor trick.”

If you want something easy and quick, then you can simply choose your favorite canned frosting to top your bundt cake. Many people like vanilla frosting, cream cheese frosting or cinnamon frosting, but you can play around and find what you like.

Try This Super Simple Glaze for Bundt Cake Recipes

If you don’t mind spending a little time in the kitchen, then you can try this easy glaze recipe.

All you have to do to make it is combine 1/3 cup of sugar and 5 teaspoons of water. Heat this mixture in the microwave for about 30 seconds. When you take it out, the sugar should be fully dissolved.

Add 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract and stir. From there, you’re ready to lightly spread the glaze over the bundt cake. You can even add powdered sugar if you like a little extra sweetness up top.

Serve Your Cake with Coffee

While some people love using sweet spreads on their bundt cakes, others don’t want to be overwhelmed by sweetness.

If you prefer your bundt cake a little plainer but still want to get full enjoyment from it, try serving it with some coffee.

In fact, many people even like dipping their bundt cake into their coffee. If coffee isn’t your thing, hot chocolate works equally well, especially when you add in lots of marshmallows. If you’re having guests over, you might want to offer up both options to ensure that everybody gets what they want.

Basic Buttercream Frosting for Our Bundt Cake Recipes

One of the most common types of frostings is buttercream frosting. This is because it has a mild flavor and tends to go well with everything. Plus, it’s super easy to make.

If you’d like to do a basic (and delicious) version of your own, you’ll need three cups of powdered sugar, 1/3 cup of softened butter, 1 and a half teaspoons of vanilla, and 2 tablespoons of milk.

You simply mix the sugar and the butter by hand, adding in the vanilla and the milk gradually as you go. Once the frosting is light and fluffy, you’re ready to spread it on top of your bundt cake and enjoy.

Enjoy Your Bundt Cake!

As you can see, there are all kinds of ways to enjoy bundt cake, so get in the kitchen and start experimenting.
