Golf Cupcakes Tutorial

by Louise Leave a Comment

It’s that time of year when outside activities are limited and we long to get back outdoors. With these golf cupcakes you can keep your golfing fanatics feeling like they are still in the game.

1

Here’s what you’ll need for the icing.

  • 1 cup yellow icing
  • 2 cups green icing
  • 1 piping bag
  • Tip #233

2

I started with some ordinary cupcakes, using a variety of chocolate and vanilla. Holding the prepared piping bag in hand, add the yellow icing first by spreading it up one side of the bag. Add the green icing to finish filling the bag. This will allow the yellow and green to to blend together while piping.

Start in the middle of the cupcake and work your way outward until the entire top is covered. Repeat the process until you have done the desired number of cupcakes.

To make the flags, you will need the following.

  • 3 different colors of construction paper, cut into triangles
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Glue
  • Wax paper

Once you have the triangles cut out, number them using a sharpie marker. Now, spread out the lollipop sticks and make a small line of glue on your wax paper. Holding the point of the flag, dab the short side into the glue and then place the flag on the lollipop sick. Do this for all the flags and allow to dry.

Once the flags are dry, you can put them in the cupcakes. For a finishing touch, I used cake pearls as golf balls.
