September 12, 2013 by Louise 2 Comments

My oh my! I love fresh berries, and lately, strawberries have been readily available and so sweet that it’s hard to think of a dessert without them! I love how versatile berries are.

They can be incorporated into just about anything, and work for any time of the day. From morning to night, berries can make a big impact on your desserts. Today, I’m sharing 9 ways to incorporate strawberries into your sweet treats. Muffins, cakes, cookies, and more!

Strawberry Sweets

1: I’m not the biggest fan of fruit and chocolate together, but I just couldn’t resist this recipe for Homemade Chocolate Strawberry Shortcake. I love how beautiful the layers are, and the chocolate garnish really finishes it off!

2: Oh my goodness. I am rushing to my kitchen this minute to bake up these Strawberry Shortcake Donuts with Whipped Cream Topping. They look so moist and chock full of strawberry deliciousness, and I know they would sweeten up any morning!

3: These Strawberry Cupcakes look perfect for a strawberry themed little girl’s luncheon or tea party. They’re so dainty and feminine looking, and the fresh strawberries on top tie the entire dessert together.

4: I love the detail and intricacy that adorns these Strawberry Sugar Cookies. The fondant is so pretty, and I love the white circle that the berry is topped on.

5: Bake up this Buttermilk Banana Strawberry Bread recipe to sweeten a morning breakfast or welcome a child home from school. I can only imagine the aromas that would fill your home! Top with powdered sugar, and you’ve got an even sweeter snack.

6: These Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwich Cookies look amazing! I love how thin the cookies are, the the icing filling is such a perfect not-overly-sweet compliment to the cookie itself. These would make for delicious lunchbox treats or luncheon desserts!

7: I’m always looking for ways to “lighten up” muffins and cakes. I love that this recipe for Skinny Strawberry Chocolate Chip Muffins is so healthy, but offers the sweetness of an actual dessert. You can have one (or even 2) and not even feel bad about it!

8: Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream is a treat in it of itself, but when you combine it with brownies, blondies, or crumble cake, you’ll have something even more delicious. Start with this delicious base, and add a baked treat of your choice!

9: Oh the cuteness! These Mini Strawberry Sugar Cookies are absolutely precious, and are almost too cute to eat! These would be adorable party favors, lunchtime treats, or could even be mailed out with a strawberry shortcake themed party invitation.
