Apple-icious Back to School Treats

by Louise 3 Comments

For many, this time of year marks the start of a new school year {for yourself or your children}, signals the start of fall, and all of the goodness this season brings.

Crisp notebooks, freshly sharpened pencils, and that perfect “first day” outfit are all prepped and ready to go! Sweeten up the first day and the entire back to school season with these APPLE themed dessert ideas, perfect for lunchbox treats, after school snacks, or a late night sweet while studying.

Apple Dessert recipes

Apple Desserts

1: This recipe for Blueberry Apple Crumble is so versatile. You can make it for dessert, or sweeten up a breakfast or after school snack. Not a fan of blueberries? Substitute for peaches, blackberries, or more apples!

2: Just look at the delicious layers of apple goodness filling these Dutch Apple Pie Bars. Oh my! The slices are just the right thickness and are cooked perfectly through.

3: I love anything in a jar, pie being no exception. These Mini Apple Pie Jars are really cute, and are even easier to make. Bring them along to a fall gathering or even make them for Thanksgiving – a new rendition on an old classic.

4: These Salted Caramel Apple Cupcakes are like taking that perfect fall Starbucks drink and putting it into a dessert. The sweet salty combination gets me every time. Yum!

5: Apple Crumble Muffins are the epitome of a fall snack. When made with freshly picked apples, they’re even better! Send along for a morning snack, or make them as part of a weekend brunch.

6: This Apple Cake looks to good to eat. I love the circular shape of it, as well as the icing that’s drizzled on top. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream!

7: Oh the cuteness! These Apple Cookies are just delightful. I love the “bite” taken out of them and the perfect icing adorning each cookie. There’s even a step-by-step tutorial so you can achieve the same results at home.

8: Martha does it again! This Apple Galette is gorgeous. I love the rustic feel of it, and how the apples are crisped to perfection. I actually prefer galette to pie, and think that the apples are even tastier in this dish.

9: These Baked Apple Donuts look incredibly delicious, moist, and full of apple flavor. I know I’ll be making these soon, as I have an apple fritter lover at home. I wonder how these will compare!
