Quick and Easy Fudge

November 3, 2015 by Louise Leave a Comment

Fudge, Fudge, Fudge! Who doesn’t like fudge? It is so rich and creamy, you may think it’s difficult to make. In the past, it may have been; you would need to use a double boiler or melt the chocolate over low heat on your stove, without burning it.
fffff

Good News! This recipe will show you how to make fudge with 4 ingredients, 1 microwave safe bowl, 1- 8 inch square pan, aluminum foil and 2 minutes of prep time.

Here’s your list of ingredients:

2 1/2 cups of baking chips (chocolate, white chocolate, etc)

1 container of regular frosting (not whipped)  flavor of your choice

1/2 tsp of vanilla

1/8 tsp of salt

For this demonstration, I used white chocolate chips and a container of “seasonal” maple brown sugar frosting.

The combinations are up to you. Another favorite is peanut butter chips and milk chocolate frosting. Yummy!

You could also add nuts, dried fruit, mini marshmallows, cookie pieces or crushed candy bars in step 4 if desired.

Step 1

Line 8″ square pan with foil. Fold over the edges.

Step 2

Microwave chips and frosting in microwave safe bowl on high 2 minutes.

Step 3

Stir until completely melted and smooth.

Step 4

Stir in vanilla and salt. Spread in foil lined pan.

Step 5

Chill 2 hours. Remove from pan by lifting edges of foil. Remove foil from fudge. Cut into squares.

Tahdah!

Fudge makes a great holiday gift for teachers and neighbors. It is also an awesome treat for yourself.

Enjoy!
