by Louise 1 Comment

dracula cookies

Today, I will be showing you how to make Dracula cookies for Halloween. I used fondant but if you like, you can easily use royal icing to make a similar design.

To make them, you will need the following supplies:

Square shaped cookies (I used graham crackers. You can use sugar cookies if you like)
A Square cutter
A Heart cutter
White fondant
Black fondant
Corn syrup or royal icing
Paintbrush
Round confetti sprinkles (I make my own sprinkles. It’s easy and cheaper too…)
Black edible marker
Red edible marker
Knife
Rolling pin

And here are the steps:

Step 1: Start off by rolling out white fondant.

Step 2: Use the square cutter to cut out a square piece.

Step 3: Brush come corn syrup or royal icing on top of your cookie.

Step 4: Gently place the fondant piece on top until it sticks into place.

Step 5: Now, roll out some black fondant.

Step 6: Use the square cutter to cut out a square piece.

Step 7: Press your heart cutter in the center.

Step 8: Use a knife to cut everything in half.

Step 9: Discard about an inch from the bottom. Also, discard the remaining heart piece in the center.

Step 10: Brush some corn syrup on top of your cookie

Step 11: And stick the black piece here.

Step 12: Pinch the center point of the head to make it sharper.

Step 13: Draw little eyeballs on 2 round sprinkles.

Step 14: Stick them into place by brushing some corn syrup

Step 15: Use a black marker to draw the mouth and fangs.

Step 16: Use a red marker to draw blood drops.

And you are done!I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.

Stay tuned for some more Halloween treats coming your way 🙂 Happy caking everyone!
