How To Make Teddy Sled Cupcakes

December 16, 2014 by Louise 1 Comment

I made these teddy sleds last year for Christmas and all the little kids loved them.

But, I didn’t use them as cupcake toppers. I just packaged them individually.

This year, I thought I would use them as cupcake toppers and I think they turned out pretty darn sweet.

They are just so much fun to make and super duper easy too!

To make these toppers, you will need the following supplies:

Mini Twix bars
Mini candy canes
Paintbrush
Melted chocolate
Mini teddy graham crackers

These are the instructions:

Step 1:
Melt chocolate in the microwave.
Use a paintbrush to paint the sides of the Twix bar with melted chocolate.

Step 2:
Stick the candy canes on the sides
You will have to hold the candy canes in place for a minute or so, until they attach securely.

Step 3:
Brush some melted chocolate on top of the Twix bar.

Step 4:
And stick the teddy graham cracker here.
Once again, you will have to hold the teddy in place for a minute or so, until it attaches securely.

Finally, ice your cupcakes, toss some sprinkles and place these cute teddy sleds on top.

And you are done!

Well, I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.

Happy caking everyone! 🙂

What a clever and simple idea! So effective. I love baking at Christmas time – an excuse to use large amounts of candy at chocolate at Christmas time. I will definitely add these to my list of what to make next (thanks for sharing the idea). Last week, I made sleighs out of wrapped candy using candy canes (https://www.bonjoursucre.com/chocolate-sleighs/).
