Snowflake Cupcake Toppers
Are you looking for a quick way to decorate cupcakes for Winter or Christmas that will impress your friends? With a few simple steps, you can turn out handmade snowflakes like a pro. These simple snowflake cupcake toppers are perfect to add onto any dessert to give it that wintry look.
Supplies needed:
  • Disposable Pastry Bag
  • White coating chocolate wafers
  • Sanding sugar (coarse sugar)
  • Waxed paper
  • Small cutting board
Step 1: Gather all supplies needed for the toppers

Step 2: Melt your chocolate in a microwave bowl slowly at 50% power for 30 second increments. Stirring in between each heating to ensure that the chocolate does not burn. Once fully melted, place in pastry bag.

Step 3: Next cut a small hole in the bag and slowly start to pipe your design on the waxed paper on top of the small cutting board.

Step 4: Next while the chocolate design is still warm, sprinkle sanding sugar over the design. Once dried, this will stick to the shape. You will want to place the board/waxed paper in the freezer for approx. 10-15 minutes to completely harden the chocolate.

Step 5: Finally take you already iced cupcakes, ( I choose to color my icing in a pale blue) and rim the icing in the sanding sugar around the edge. Simply do this, by rolling the cupcake top in the sanding sugar. Then you can just peel of the chocolate designs that are fully hardened. Simply lay the topper on the top of the cupcake.
