How To Make a Beach Themed Cake

It’s Summer time and I am sure all of you are visiting the beaches and having a great time!

We went to the beach last weekend and I used the seashells and sand as inspiration for this simple yet beautiful beach themed cake.

To make this cake, you will need the following supplies:

Two round crazy wacky depression chocolate cakes (Dimensions: 6×3 each cake)
Blue buttercream icing
White edible pearls
Spatula
Silver color mist
Golden color mist
1 cup brown sugar
Melted white chocolate
Beach candy mold (CK 90-12816)

These are the instructions:

Step 1:
Melt white chocolate in the microwave.
Pour spoonfuls of chocolate in the mold cavities.
Place this tray in the freezer for 15 minutes or until the chocolate hardens.

Note:
You don’t need to fill all the cavities in this mold. I only wanted shells on my cake. So, I only filled the shell shaped cavities in this mold.

Step 2:
Gently turn the mold onto your table lined with wax paper.
Tap the top of the mold to loosen the chocolate pieces.
Now, spray the pieces randomly with gold and silver color mist.
Let the color dry for about 15 minutes.

Step 3:
In the meantime, fill and frost your cakes in blue buttercream icing.
Use the spatula to give your entire cake a rough texture.

Step 4:
Sprinkle some brown sugar on top of the cake.

Step 5:
Sprinkle more brown sugar around the base of your cake.
Also, stick little white pearls all over the cake.

Now, just place your chocolate seashells on top of the cake.

And you are done!
